Q: If the host hotel is full, is there any more room for Corvettes@Biltmore.
A: There is as much room as we have registrations received for Corvettes@Biltmore regardless of anyone staying at the host hotels. Our reservations are set a year in advance at a significant discounted rate off of the seasonal rate.
Q: What if the host hotel is full?
A: If the host hotel is full please contact the Residence Inn 828-281-3361 for a discount rate or please make your own reservation at another hotel.
Q: Do I have to stay at the host hotel?
A: You do not have to stay at the host hotel. You can stay at any hotel of your choice or your friends in the area.
Q: Can I register other people to come with me to the event?
A: You can register as many people as you wish.
Q: When I register for the Biltmore Package do I get hotel reservations or a space reserved at the host hotel?
A: No. You must register for the event and make reservations with the either host hotel Doubletree, Residence Inn or a hotel of your choice.
Q: Will it snow during the event?
A: Based on previous year events there should not be any snow in the forcast. We do understand that others that have come in the past from Michigan, New York, Connetticut, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania have dug out to come to the event. We moved the date to the first weekend that the estate will be decorated for the Christmas Holidays for greater attendance.
Q: How cold will it be?
A: The daytime temperatures will be in the 50s to 60s depending on the weather patern. Ashville and the surrounding area is in the vacinity of the Blue Ridge and Appalacian Mountains and is at a higher elevation. Evening temperatures can be in the low 30s. You will want to dress warm for the event. Early pictures required everyone to scrape the ice off of their windows until their cars were warmed up.
Q: What will the dress be for the Dinner?
A: Dinner dress is casual due to the temperature. We have had some who came dressed. So we leave it up to you.
Q: Can I get a refund if my plans change?
A: Yes. You can get a refund for your package if you cancel prior to 1 October. After that date it is up to the descretion of RTP Corvettes on a case by case basis for a refund of your package price.
Q: Why is the price for the event so much?
A: This is a frequently asked question. The Biltmore Estate requires that all particpants must have at a minimum of a basic day pass to get on to the estate. There are also many fees that are paid for included into the price (i.e. early entrance, photography fees, group dining rooms).
Q: Can I come if I already have an Annual Biltmore Pass?
A: Yes. But to be inclusive of the event and all of the activities you must purchase the either of the packages. If you wish to join in with the rest of the group or others that you will join, it is ok. Please remember that everyone that is coming to this event is paying. You must contact us to particpate in advance and sign a liability disclaimer.
Q: Can I just come to visit and/or drive with the groups on the Tail of the Dragon?
A: Yes. You can drive the Dragon with any of the groups. You must though contact us in advance to particpate and sign a liability disclaimer.
Q: Do I have to be a member of RTP Corvettes?
A: No. You do not have to be a member of RTP Corvettes to participate in this event. We though would encourage you to see what RTP Corvettes is all about and if you wish, please become a member.
